It could just be because I’m going through this phase in my life, but this song makes me think of the end of school, high school or college. I’ve been dealing with my friends striking out in the world, and it’s hard to accept them leaving and that I might not see some of them again, ever.

“If we sleep together would it make it any better?”

Trying to form a physical connection in the hopes that it will save some kind of emotional connection when that person is gone.
